A Celebrated Autumn Tradition
For the third consecutive year, the Municipality of Neapolis-Sykeon is renewing its autumn disco party, “Saturday Night Fever,” an event that has quickly become a much-anticipated local tradition. In cooperation with the Local Council of Agios Pavlos and with the support of Keyns, the municipality invites residents and visitors to enjoy an evening where music, memories and entertainment come together.
On Saturday, 10 October, from 8:30 p.m., the basketball court of Evangelistria, located at University 2, next to the KAPI and opposite the university, will be transformed into a lively dance floor. The venue will welcome people of all ages, offering a warm and festive atmosphere in which the decades meet and the pleasure of dancing has no limits.
A Musical Journey Across the Decades
Bessy Argyraki and her band will lead the evening’s musical programme, promising an energetic live performance filled with beloved Greek and international songs. From the timeless sounds of disco and the sparkle of the disco balls to the favourite rhythms of today, the programme is designed to awaken memories while keeping the celebration fresh and vibrant.
With dance, singing and an unmistakable sense of fun, the performance will offer an entertaining musical journey for longtime fans and younger guests alike. The artistic direction of the evening is entrusted to Christos Papantoniou, whose contribution will help shape the event’s distinctive character.
A Special Contribution from Young Voices
The choir of the 2nd Experimental Primary School of Agios Pavlos will add its own special touch to the celebration. Under the direction of Evangelia Chatzinikolakis, musician and headteacher of the school, the choir will bring a youthful and heartfelt presence to this festive occasion.
The invitation is open to everyone, and admission is free. The dress code is entirely relaxed: all guests need are a cheerful mood and comfortable dancing shoes. With music spanning generations and an atmosphere built for shared enjoyment, Saturday Night Fever promises an unforgettable autumn evening in Evangelistria.
