Pink Martini, the most cosmopolitan concert of the summer

Pink Martini, the band that has given some of the most beautiful and cosmopolitan nights, returns to Greece for a unique concert on July 20 in Thessaloniki at the Lazaristes Monastery.

The large band from Portland, USA, who were loved from the first moment in Greece with ‘Sympathique (Je ne veux pas travailler)’, surprised us with the performance of ‘Children of Piraeus’, took us on a journey to classic Hollywood with ‘Amado Mio’ and to charming Italy with ‘Una notte a Napoli’, knows well how to mix disparate musical elements in the most uncomplicated and tasteful way. Created in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale, it is made up of musicians from diverse backgrounds and influences — from classical music to lounge, jazz, pop, and rock. Their guest of honor is the well-known American journalist and performer Ari Shapiro, who has made other appearances in Greece, which has influenced his writings.

Pink Martini belongs to the rare category of bands that remain fresh and renewed every time, making each of their concerts unique and unrepeatable. Expect Thessalonians and tourists on July 20 at 21.30.
